Mr. Robert Norvell |
Mr. Norvell graduated from Boston University Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts, 1994. In 1997 he graduated with honors from the University of Florida, College of Law. During his time at the University of Florida Mr. Norvell received Book Awards (finished number one in the class) in Property Law, Tort Law, and Estates and Trusts.
After he graduated from law school, Mr. Norvell worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Alachua County. In 1998 he became an Assistant Public Defender in Palm Beach County. At the Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office Mr. Norvell was promoted to Division Chief where he was charged with the supervision of two attorneys and responsible for an active caseload. Mr. Norvell also acted as a liaison between judges and the Public Defender’s Office. Because of this experience, he has personally practiced before every criminal judge in both Circuit and County Court. In 2001, Mr. Norvell was hired away by a private firm to grow and shape a successful criminal branch. In 2004 the doors of Norvell & Harvey were opened to provide the very best legal defense in Palm Beach County.
Mr. Norvell has been an active, well known, and respected member of the Palm Beach Criminal Defense Bar for eight years. In 2006, he was appointed to the Florida Bar Traffic Rules Committee, which is a decision making committee that makes recommendations to the Legislature regarding traffic laws in Florida.
Mr. Norvell is married with a young son. In addition to spending time with his family, he is a classically trained violinist who enjoys performing locally and sailing as a member of the Palm Beach County Sailing Club.
The firm of Norvell & Harvey is very dedicated to the community. The firm has made many contributions to the Palm Beach Zoo, Ballet Florida, Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, Norton Museum of Art, and Red Cross Cancer Research Walk For the Cure. |

Mr. Reese Harvey |
Mr. Harvey was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1994, Mr. Harvey moved to Washington, D.C. where he accepted a position at Aon Consulting. As a consultant he provided Human Resource advice and assistance to General Motors and Bell Atlantic.
In 1995 Mr. Harvey returned to Florida to attend law school at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. At Nova Southeastern University he was awarded the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship and was invited to serve as a member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. During his last two years of law school Mr. Harvey interned for Mr. Thomas E. Cazel, one of Ft. Lauderdale’s more renowned criminal defense attorneys.
After he graduated from law school Mr. Harvey accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County. In 2000 he was promoted to Division Chief. At the State Attorney’s Office Mr. Harvey was lead attorney in over 100 trials. This experience allowed him to develop the skills of trial procedure and an extensive knowledge of the Rules of Evidence that is unusual for someone practicing outside the field of criminal law. Mr. Harvey’s experiences as a prosecutor made him extremely comfortable and confident in the courtroom. In 2002 Mr. Harvey left the State Attorney’s Office to study under the senior attorney at a local personal injury firm. During this time, he worked with many of Palm Beach County’s most prestigious civil attorneys using his trial and courtrooms skills to successfully resolve and litigate civil cases for his clients. In 2004 Mr. Harvey coupled his extensive knowledge of personal injury litigation and experience of the courtroom to establish the personal injury branch at Norvell & Harvey.
Mr. Harvey is a resident of Palm Beach County and enjoys spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoys sailing, fishing, and community involvement.
